Another thing you could do is give your roof a lick of white or reflective paint. Your home will then stay cooler during the hot summer months because the reflective or white paint will stop sunlight from being absorbed.

Your energy bill will be less if you heat it up your home in an efficient manner. A fireplace, whilst looking very nice, is probably the most inefficient way of heating up your home. Due to the cost of oil rising rapidly, getting one of these is usually cheaper. Insulation is the key thing that will make a big difference when making your home energy efficient. As you decide on different green additions to your home you’ll find that it’s much easier than you initially thought. Things actually become easier for you because you’re less dependent on others and you will be reducing your bills. However you may need to fork up some cash for things like solar panels or insulation before you can enjoy their advantages. In the long run you will benefit financially from eco friendly decisions.
